Hey, today, I wanted to come at you and talk a little bit about goals, not exactly how to set them, or if you're setting them versus not setting them, or timeframes, or any of those acronyms, like SMART. What I really wanna focus on is are your goals needed or wanted? Needed or wanted. So many of us in the coaching world work with our clients on their goals. How do we know if our clients are gonna reach those goals? They have to implement, execute, they have to be coachable, some of those things, but also, we talk about why. They have to have a why. Well, the goals that they set, do they want them? So in other words, are they showing up to your calls? Are you coaching them, and they're not quite implementing and executing? That's probably a want or desire versus a need. A need is something that you have to do in order to pay the bills, in order to function in life, in order to have something above your head, in order to eat, in order to provide for your children. Do you need it? Do you want it? Is it more than a want, more than a desire, something that you are going to do on a daily basis and you won't quit until it's done? So those are the real two big differences I see in goal setting is either a want versus a need. And those are two big differences. You need to want it and need it in order to succeed and reach your goal.
