Set-backs are set-ups! Featured Image

Hey, chances are you've definitely had a setback. How did that affect you mentally, physically, and emotionally? I've had a few of those myself, more importantly in the last year and in my previous last 21 years in the real estate industry. But I like to think of a setback as a setup or it's not how far you fall but how far you bounce back. So when you do have a setback, for example, I had a major heart attack last year, quadruple bypass surgery. I then, towards the end of the year, had a buyout with my current partner. So what do you do in the meantime? Well, first of all, having a good support structure: people and coaches that are gonna help you work through and transition into what you're doing next. Luckily, I had that with a great wife and a great coach, and great friends and family members. Secondarily is making sure that you're planning for that next event. What is it that you can do? And making sure that you're thinking positively about that next thing. And number three, I almost said four, is committing to a better future and understanding that certain things happen for a reason and more than likely, it's setting you up for a better future, to be more productive, to make more money, and to be happier. So think of those setbacks as a step up or set up for something better in the future.
